Aerial Camera Systems (ACS) Working With This Year's Bafta Nominees

ACS is delighted to have been a key supplier to a number of productions that have been nominated for the upcoming Bafta Television Awards 2009.
The company, a leading provider of specialist camera services, was involved with four of the productions up for nominations this year.
Up for best Specialist Factual, Lost Land of the Jaguar, produced by BBC Productions was the first of the nominated programmes that ACS contributed to, shooting aerials widely featured within the series filmed out in Guyana using one of their HD Cineflex V14 helicopter camera systems.
In the Bafta Sports category, ACS was heavily involved in three of the four nominated programmes; Wimbledon Men's Finals 2008 where ACS provided a wide range of HD camera facilities for BBC Sports, including their own in-house developed remote head, the SMARThead.
The Beijing Olympics was the second nomination for BBC Sports. ACS supplied and operated a variety of camera systems, including those for the coverage of
teh sailing and Marathon as well as aerial filming of the games.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup 2008 - Denman v Kauto Star was the third of the sports nominees which ACS was a key supplier to. Continuing its long standing relationship with Channel 4/Highflyer Productions ACS provided high speed camera tracking vehicles, remote head systems and the sponsored tethered Blimp.
The news of the nominations came during a busy month for ACS, with teams providing stabilised boat camera mounts at the 2009 Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race last weekend and coverage from the air and ground at the Dubai World Cup. HD aerials shoots took place in a number of countries including Tanzania, Kenya, France and Australia. ACS teams also provided HD railcam systems at the Six Nations 2009 and a range of camera systems for over 30 football games for Sky Sports, BBC Sports, ITV and Setanta. All this and they'd not long returned from another successful year with two camera tracking vehicles, remote head camera systems and the Labrokes tethered blimp at the Cheltenham Festival.
ACS Executive Chairman Susie Allwork said: "We are thrilled to have been able to contribute to these high quality productions. The past month's work and the Bafta recognition just reflect the diversity of the equipment and the talent of the team we have here at ACS. We're committed to providing award worthy camera solutions. On behalf of ACS I'd like to send our congratulations to all the Bafta nominees."
