Rapid pay response at Soho Images

Managers at the Soho Images have made an impoved pay offer after an industrial action ballot.
The company tabled the offer on Friday August 2, only hours after BECTU members voted 89% in favour of industrial action against a pay freeze.
Union representatives are consulting members on the surprise offer, which was described as "better than inflation" - the union is recommending that it should be accepted.
Soho Images is a long established film laboratory in the heart of London's West End with a history of good industrial relations.
The company was recently acquired by the Liberty Livewire group, which has been actively buying into the UK postproduction sector.
