Vinten Wins STAR Award

News Image
Vinten's new Vector 430 - which was on display at IBC 2010 - is the recipient of a 2010 STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipient) Award given by the editorial staff of TV Technology Europe magazine at the 2010 IBC convention.
The STAR Award (Superior Technology Award Recipient) is designed to celebrate and showcase the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry. TV Technology Europe's editor reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then chose 25 winners.
Mark Hallinger, Editor of TV Technology Europe, said: "STAR awards are given to interesting new products that help a user save money or accomplish a task in an easier way. The products selected help advance the industry - some were chosen because of technical novelty or innovation, some because they filled an important gap in the production or transmission chain, and some because they were just cool products."
Developed in collaboration with leading global customers and bridging the gap in the production or transmission chain, and some because they were just cool products."
Developed in collaboration with leading global customers and bridging the gap between the Vision and Vector ranges, the Vector 430 is ideal for the growing number of applications that use both the compact box lens and large EFP barrel lenses.
This unique and lightweight pan and tilt head incorporates Vinten's innovative Perfect Balance technology - into a previously unattainable compact package - whilst boasting an extremely large capacity range of 10 - 43 kg (22 - 94.8 lbs). This means that the Vector 430 provides a single choice for camera operators in the studio or out on the field, when two heads may have previously been required.
Peter Harman, Vinten Product Manager, said: "We are devoted to working closely with our users to understand precisely what they need from camera support and the Vector 430 is a product of this process.
"We are delighted to receive such recognition from TV Technology and look forward to continuing to develop innovative products in partnership with our customers."
Simple to rig and convenient to transport, the compact design of the Vector 430 maintains the trusted performance and functionality of Vinten's renowned Vector heads, including infinitely adjustable Perfect Balance and smooth TF drag technology.
