Programme highlights Scotland's lighthouses

The latest programme, in the Comataidh Craolaidh Gaidhlig (CCG) funded series, An Solas Buan which examines Scotland's lighthouses, takes a look at the work of one of the top designers.
The light at Skerryvore, built by Alan Stevenson, perhaps the greatest designer of all, has been described as the most beautiful lighthouse ever built.
A tall, elegant tower built from granite quarried on mull, it stands 138 feet above one of the most dangerous reefs in the Inner Hebrides - just 12 miles off Tiree.
Produced by Scottish Television and funded by Comataidh Craolaidh Gaidhlig, the programme airs on Sunday, August 18, at 6.30pm on Scottish and Grampian Television.
