VRT And TVNZ Secure DRG's New Drama 'Vexed'

DRG have confirmed that leading broadcasters TVNZ in New Zealand and VRT in Belgium have both acquired DRG's new primetime drama.
Vexed, produced by UK indie Greenlit Productions, premiered on BBC Two on Sunday at 9pm achieving a peak audience share of 10.8% and slot average of 9.4% versus ITV1's 9.8%.
Three crimes, two detectives, one continuing argument… Vexed is a fast-paced, glossy comedy drama, about a detective duo with real chemistry written by Howard Overman (Misfits, Merlin, Perfect Day) and directed by Matt Lipsey (Psychoville, Saxondale, Little Britain).
Vexed stars Lucy Punch (Doc Martin, Hot Fuzz) as Kate and Toby Stephens (Robin Hood, Wired, Jane Eyre) as Jack, whose personal lives are as complicated as the criminal cases they investigate.
Patrick Roberts, Senior Vice President, International Sales at DRG, said: "The demand for high-quality UK crime drama continues to rule global schedules. Earlier this year we took Greenlit's ITV1 drama Collision into more than 60 territories. We're now busy finalising multiple international deals for Vexed and are pleased to confirm that this brilliantly witty and exciting comedy drama will be launching locally with VRT and TVNZ."
