Altibox Adds Remote DVR With Latens ECO


A leader in the delivery of software conditional access and middleware for digital Pay TV, have announced that Altibox has successfully launched Remote DVR services using Latens ECO.
The Remote DVR service allows Altibox customers to schedule and manage recordings on their home DVR possible from virtually anywhere.
This new service allows customers to easily view and search the Altibox programme listings from the full programme guide, schedule programmes, view descriptions of selected programmes, manage or edit scheduled recordings, all from any web enabled device where ever they are.
Over 180,000 customers are now connected to the Altibox service through their local energy company and telecoms provider.

Now with Altibox Remote DVR our customers can get new features and capabilities," commented Jarle Johnsen, Head of Engineering TV & Media, Altibox. "We have worked very closely with Latens to develop and deploy this remote DVR capability with ECO middleware, with great results."

Latens ECO middleware with pre-integrated conditional access (CAS) brings true multi-media networking to the home. A fully customisable middleware for all IPTV and Cable Operators, ECO features and services, on screen messaging, VOD, catch up TV, whole home DVR and games.
