ITV To Make Two Factuals

One of the UK's leading broadcasters, ITV1, has commissioned two major new factual formats Auction Party and Country House Cooking Contest for ITV1 Daytime.
They will be created and produced by the award-winning ITV Studios Factual - the London team behind Britain's Best Dish.
Auction Party challenges members of the public to make a big cash profit by creating and hosting a real life auction in their living room.
With a £500 budget and the assistance of expert Tom Keane, a professional auctioneer, each Auction Party Host sets out to find locally acquired antiques, modern collectables or family treasures to be auctioned to the highest bidder.
Each episode sees the quirky collection of lots going under the hammer in a high-tension, jeopardy-laden event with a wicked twist in the tail.
Country House Cooking Contest combines a cut-throat culinary contest with glamorous, country house living as six members of the public produce a range of challenging dishes, served up at formal black tie dinners, shooting party lunches and up-market drinks parties. The shows are set in the kitchens of one of the UK's most fabulous country estates.
The amateur cooks have one ambition - to win the coveted ₤1,000 prize under the direction and caustic encouragement of Michelin starred chef John Burton Race (Britain’s Best Dish; I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!).
Both series were commissioned by Jo Clinton-Davis, Controller of Popular Factual at ITV, and Alison Sharman, ITV Director of Factual and Daytime.

Auction Party and Country House Cooking Contest are executive produced by Nell Butler, creator of Come Dine with Me and produced by ITV Studios [UK] Factual London.
