Shaw Brothers Choose Digital Projection For $200 Million Shaw Studios Project

Film company Shaw Brothers - which founded Hong Kong's movie industry and shareholder of the Shaw Studios Project, a state-of-the-art audio post production facility - has chosen Digital Projection International to supply all of their digital projectors.
After extensive global research to determine only the very best equipment, Shaw chose the award-winning Titan series.
The Titan series has a full spectrum of light output units, which fully accommodate the individual needs of each studio, from Titan 1080p-250 to 1080p-Dual 3D all with full HD and Active 3D capabilities.
The studios boast one of the largest, fully sound and vibration-insulated soundstages in Asia. They offer a full-service colour lab and digital imaging facility with over 20 sound and editing suites. In addition to this, a 400-seat dubbing and screening theatre, executive and production office space, visual effects and animation capabilities. In all, over a million square feet of digitally-wired and secure facilities dedicated solely to film production and post-production.

Another deciding factor for us is the ability to use the projector in 2D or 3D modes which enable us to take on a wider range of projects, as more 3D movies are produced.
