Nexus Sign Interactive Directing Team
As pioneering innovators in animation and digital filmmaking with a roster of world-class talent, Nexus has taken a unique path in design and storytelling and is now increasing its forays into interactive ventures.
Having appointed multi-platform expertise in the shape of new Executive Producer Cedric Gairard, Nexus has signed the cutting-edge talent of interactive directing duo Champagne Valentine, brainchild of Geoffrey Lillemon and Anita Fontaine.
Champagne Valentine possess a unique aesthetic that skilfully blends motion graphics and live action with interactive techniques, producing work that draws upon their eclectic backgrounds in fine art, new media, online video games, animation, advertising and motion graphics.
Nexus and Champagne Valentine already have a raft of projects in both production and development.
They are completing work on a soon to be released interactive music video for Sony artists Placebo, and an explorative, three-dimensional website project for Tate Modern. Champagne Valentine are also working alongside the existing Nexus directing roster on commercial projects, taking their design and storytelling into interactive arenas.
Champagne Valentine boast an impressive and diverse portfolio of work, including campaigns for Diesel, VH1, Napster, Comedy Central and the audio-reactive live concert visuals for Paul Oakenfold's 2008 world tour. As interactive and multi-platform experts, they have also developed iPhone applications and have modified video game systems to create interactive installations. Not to mention showing work at numerous fine art exhibitions around the world.
Geoffrey Lillemon said: "Champagne Valentine is directed towards expanding the interactive creative world through research and experimentation, whether it be for brands, for fine art or for fine people and to broaden the horizon of fantasy and beauty while remaining true to the demands of an evolving market."
