Mainframe Hits US With Duck Studios Tie-Up

Independent UK motion shop, Mainframe, will from August, be taking their unique brand of cutting edge animation to the US market via a tie-up with LA-based Duck Studios.
Duck Studios specialises in 2D/3D computer animation, cel animation, character and illustrative design, compositing, digital ink and paint, live action integration, stop motion and live action.
Mainframe's 20 London and Manchester producers, designers, 2D and 3D animators will be represented as a directing collective across the US from Duck's LA home as well as its east coast and mid-west sales reps.
Mainframe's original client base predominantly came from broadcasters like TMF, Virgin Media and Nickleodeon, but recent years have seen the company develop a wider commercials base by working alongside production companies such as Stink. This move to build an international presence marks the next phase in the company's development.
Adam Jenns, Mainframe's Owner and MD, commented: "We've recently found that the commercials world has reacted very positively to our creative and graphic style of animation. So, the next logical step was seeing how the US would take to us. After a fair bit of searching we found Duck Studios.
"They've got a talented roster and it felt like the right fit. We're confident they'll open new doors for us."
