ANIMATION COMPANY LAUNCHED IN MIDLANDS

3D ANIMATION Director Martin Povey and partner, Art Director Nicola Scurlock, have launched PS Creative, a new animation venture based in the Midlands.
The directors have vast experience within the fields of children’s television, advertising and the computer games industry and were keen to establish themselves in their ideal locality.
PS Creative provides an extensive range of graphics facilities from on-screen typography to full 3D character animation.
The directors established PS Creative to bridge the gap in the animation market and to provide high quality service and experience to medium budget productions. Martin Povey said: “Our aim with PS Creative is to bring high quality professionalism to productions that would otherwise suffer from cheap-looking graphics.”
Currently the directors are working on a short promotional film and examining a number of opportunities in television titling and advertising.
PS Creative are based in Hagley, West Midlands, central within the UK and with easy access to major UK routes/motorways. Nicola Scurlock said: “Our working environment is such a creative driving force for us. Clients enjoy visiting us here in the countryside, as it offers them a break from the London buzz yet is still within a couple of hours. It’s also only 15 miles from Birmingham city centre, which is under considerable development both economically and culturally. We feel we are offering a viable alternative to the London production company within a relaxed friendly office.”
The team are looking to expand their core of nationwide clients with an aggressive marketing campaign over the coming months and to raise their profile within the London agencies even further.
