Gearhouse Broadcast Jungle Action for US

ITV Studios has awarded Gearhouse Broadcast the contract for the US series of the ever popular reality show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! which will be set in the heart of the Costa Rican Jungle.
Gearhouse Broadcast will provide the US series of I'm A Celebrity with broadcast and technical facilities to deliver extensive coverage of all the jungle action. Numerous technical facilities will be used for the show which includes flyaway facilities of two production galleries, two Audio galleries, CCU VT and Master Control Room areas. Around the clock technical support will also be available of engineering, cable riggers and audio engineering support.
To capture all the action, Gearhouse Broadcast will provide broadcast facilities of Sony HDC 1500 cameras, Sony MVS 8000 vision mixer, Pro-Bel router and Calrec audio desk.
Simon Atkinson, Technical Director at Gearhouse Broadcast, said: "This new commission for I'm A Celebrity came out of the blue and to find it was going to be in a new country and a new continent just added to the challenge.
"It has been a tough exercise turning the equipment around from I'm A Celebrity in Australia and ship it to Costa Rica in the time given, but having worked on various projects for I'm A Celebrity with UK and German clients we had all the prior knowledge and expertise to deliver the best technical solution for the show in a short period of time."
The show will be broadcast on NBC and will air between Monday to Thursday for four weeks, beginning on June 1, 2009.
