FremantleMedia Announce Key Titles For DISCOP 2009

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced their line-up for DISCOP 2009, which features successful returning series and franchises as well as new programmes across drama, entertainment and factual genres.
The global distributor will be represented at the market by Veronika Gracher, VP Sales, German-speaking Europe and Eastern Europe.
The leading drama titles from FME include series two of the global phenomenon Merlin, which promises to be bigger, bolder and more ambitious as the magic gets closer to Camelot.
Series one has been hugely successful with sales to over 180 countries.
Satisfaction is another returning crowd pleaser: the award-winning Australian drama follows the lives of high-class escorts as they juggle the pressures of their private lives with their secret profession.
Also from Australia comes detective drama The Strip, which has already found success in more than 20 regions including Germany, Holland, France, South Africa and in China on CCTV, which is accessible to more than one billion viewers. German daily action drama 112 will also be presented. Produced by award-winning Action Concept, 112 features breathtaking stunts and engaging characters set in an emergency services centre, working together to save lives.
The hottest new drama property from FME is Trinity by award-winning producer Ash Attala. Trinity is a Machiavellian university playing host to the wealthy elite, some of whom are working hard to keep the secrets of the school tightly under wraps in this mysterious drama.
Renowned for some of the best entertainment properties in the world, FME brings to DISCOP for the first time True Beauty, the ABC primetime hit where executive producers Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher re-define the concept of beauty.
Other key titles in the genre include series four of The Janice Dickinson FremModelling Agency, series two of She's Got The Look and series three and four of The Apprentice.
FME factual titles cover a range of exciting and informing topics including travel and food, Egyptian mummies, the deadliest men in history and one of man's deadliest jobs. Jamie's America finds famous British chef Jamie Oliver on the road trip of a lifetime through the USA to discover the most interesting but unsung chefs and food producers this vast and varied country has to offer.
Explore Egypt's greatest mysteries in Egypt Unwrapped, the major series that combines the latest research and techniques, special access and state-of-the-art CGI. The series investigates eight icons of Egypt and the premiere episode in the UK attracted an audience share of 51% above the broadcaster's slot average.
Deadliest Warrior explores the world's most lethal men in an historical and action-packed narrative.
From their weapons, to their armour, even what they had available to eat at the time, Deadliest Warrior takes an in-depth look at the most feared men on the planet and pits warriors against each other in a computerised CGI battle.
Rounding out the slate is Original Productions' Black Gold, which drills down into the high-stakes world of oil prospecting and introduces us to the men and women who place themselves in extreme danger to bring this precious reserve to the surface. Black Gold, whose second series is available soon, exceeded TruTv's prime time average by 45%. This is just one of several hugely successful Original Productions' programmes defining blue-collar heroism.
FME's Gracher commented: "DISCOP is a key market for us and we're looking forward to bringing this fantastic slate of programmes to buyers. With great new and returning drama, entertainment and factual programmes in our catalogue, there is something for everyone from large terrestrials to smaller niche broadcasters.
"FME has a long history in the region and we're looking forward to continuing our activity there."
