Gee Broadcast Announces Record Shipments Of Geevs
Despite the current economic climate, Gee Broadcast are pleased to announce record sales and shipments of their Geevs Server.
With a significant increase in sales during the first quarter of 2009 a record number of Geevs Servers were shipped recently to customers in France, Hungary, India, Taiwan and the UK.
Doordarshan, the National Broadcaster of India, have received the largest single delivery with a total of 37 Geevs Servers being delivered to 16 different locations in Doordarshan's facilities across India.
Deliveries have included a range of models from the Geevs SDE Standard Definition(SD) version to the Geevs MR+ HD/SD systems. Although SD servers are still the largest part of current ordering it is noticeable that the numbers of HD servers is increasing as more users make or prepare for the transition to HD.
Applications range from simple VTR replacement to fully networked tapeless systems, with users coming from major national broadcasters to education and government.
Geevs has always offered good value, but with the fall in value of the UK£ it has become even more competitive. Gee Broadcast see improved response to the Geevs value offering as customers are more careful to consider their budgets in the current economic climate.
