MTG's Viasat Broadcasting Selects Irdeto To Manager Enhanced OnDemand Service

Irdeto, a leading expert in content and business model protection solutions and services, has been selected by MTG's Viasat Broadcasting to manage its enhanced internet based on-demand service, Viasat OnDemand.
The service will be available across multiple territories, in Europe, using one single platform and will provide viewers with increased choice an flexibility to subscribe to and view content.
In response to the ever changing demands of customers seeking content on the internet and digital TV, MTG Viasat Broadcasting, the largest free-TV and satellite premium pay-TV operator in Scandinavia and the Baltics, is enhancing its Viasat OnDemand service.
It allows customers in Sweden, Denmark and Norway to find, buy and view premium on demand content. Additional markets and features can quickly and easily be added in the future.
By using Irdeto's content management solution set features; publish, control and monetize to create and manage the complex, dynamic online platform, MTG Viasat Broadcasting expects to generate significant increased business in its home markets in Scandinavia and in the future by providing a quick role to capture new customers in other markets.

The opportunity to work with such a well-regarded broadcaster to provide this service across a major geographic footprint demonstrates the strength of content management solution and the revenue generating potential of online content services."
