The 49th Monte-Carlo TV Festival Launches The TV Xchanges
The Monte-Carlo Television Festival launches the TV Xchanges, a new initiative for 2009.
The Monte-Carlo TV Xchanges, a two-day conference, will take place from June 9 -10, 2009, within the 49th edition of the festival. The conference will include round tale discussions on topics such as international co-production, financing and the impact of new technologies on production within the content business. With well-known keynote speakers to be announced shortly, top US and European producers, programming decision makers, financial organisations, government and regional institutions are expected to attend.
David Tomatis, Chief Executive Officer of the Monte-Carlo TV Festival, commented: "The TV Xchanges are our response to the strong demand from the many producers, network representatives and talent from around the world, who have attended our event over the last couple of years.
The Festival offers the perfect environment for quality meetings without the expensive costs and necessary infrastructure related to a traditional market."
Other highlights of the 49th Monte Carlo Festival will be the international television programme competition and awards, premiere screenings, glamorous receptions and parties organised by some of the major networks and studios which all contribute to the magical atmosphere of Monaco.
Close to 300 journalists from around the world are present to cover this international television festival attended by the creative forces of the industry.
Full information on TV Xchanges will shortly be available on the festival website at: www.tvfestival.com.
