Top names sign up for Digital Arts World

Digital Arts World, the cutting edge graphics conference running in London from October 9-11, has received encouraging support from the industry, suggesting this year's event may include more than a touch of the spectacular.
Digital graphics giants Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), DreamWorks and Disney will join IT specialists Apple, Adobe, Discreet and IBM for the three-day event, which will include a wide range of speakers, seminars, demonstrations and, of course, business opportunities.
Around 6,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which incorporates a high-end 3D conference and five 'digital villages', complete with interactive workstation areas and three live stages.
Two industry awards ceremonies, the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards and The London Effects and Animation Festival (LEAF) Awards, are also to take place during the event.
Notably, ILM are to host a half-day devoted to ‘Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.’ Scott Stokdyk and Anthony LaMolinara from Sony Pictures ImageWorks will be discussing the effects and techniques used in 'Spider Man' and many more artists will be sharing their experiences on this year’s most successful releases, including ‘Men in Black II,’ ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Stuart Little 2’ and ‘Lord of the Rings.’
On the show floor, the five villages will cover the themes of Web Design, Graphic Design, 3D Graphics, Digital Video and Digital Audio.
