HMC Interactive Opens Digital Innovation Centre

Award-winning production company HMC Interactive, part of Twofour, has announced the launch of MediaLab, an experiential centre for digital innovation and creation designed to entertain, promote and inspire.
Convergent media is a key focus for MediaLab with different media technologies, experiences and platforms brought together under one roof. It will officially be opened by Minister for the South West and Health Minister, Ben Bradshaw on November 10 at Twofour's studio in Plymouth.
MediaLab is an evolving space spanning over 500 square metres and will offer visitors an insight into how the company brings its inventions to life from conception through to R&D and implementation.
The centre will showcase some of HMC Interactive's ground-breaking convergent technologies including augmented reality, incision technology and shadow tracking. HMC Interactive and Twofour will be able to replicate entire projects enabling clients to test-drive products before final installation.
Previous work currently on display will include the trademarked 'incision' technology seen on BBC Three's 'Make My Body Younger', which allowed 'living autopsies' to be performed on participants, showing them the effects their lifestyle is having on their internal organs and the 'object tracking' technology used by the Royal Observatory in Greenwich to re-create an experience of navigating the stars.
Ben Bradshaw, Minister for the South West and Health Minister, said: "I am delighted to be opening the new MediaLab. In challenging economic times, the companies that survive and prosper will be those that invest in their business. This new technology facility will bring benefits to Plymouth and the wider region."
Korash Sanjideh, Managing Director, HMC Interactive, said: "MediaLab will allow us to engage with current and potential clients on a whole new level. We will also be inviting researches, artists, engineers and other cross-discipline professionals to work with us in the space - to exhibit, test and create. It has unlimited potential."
Mark Hawkins, Manging Director, Twofour Group, said: "In a socially connected media savvy world our clients look to us to assist in forging new and more intimate relationships between their customers and their brand.
"The MediaLab creates an environment where these new models can be developed and experienced firsthand - to touch, see and hear."
