Red Kite Steps Up Development

Award-winning children's production company Red Kite has appointed Catherine Williams as development producer.
In this role, Williams will work closely with the senior management team to help develop and produce a diverse range of programmes for the international marketplace.
Williams brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team, having worked with a number of prestigious production companies including Granada Kids, Darrall Macqueen and Pearson Television.
During her career, she has worked on a number of high profile productions including BAFTA award-winning 'Pocoyo' (CITV), top-rating kids sitcoms 'My Parents Are Aliens' (CITV) and 'Bear Behaving Badly' (CBBC) and RTS award-winning 'Girls in Love' (CITV). Williams also has great experience in developing programmes in the pre-school, children's and family arena, including 'Katie's Picture Show' (Channel 5) for New Moon Television.

Their most recent work included 'Dennis and Gnasher' (BBC) and 'The Imp', a series of animated shorts about an imp who tries very hard to spread evil within the mundane demands of domestic life (Cartoon Network US and Disney Japan).
