Doremi's GHX-10 Universal Cross Converter Wins Satisfecit Award

Doremi Technologies' new GHX-10 Cross Converter has received a SatisFecit Award for Most Innovative Product in the post-production category at the 2008 SATIS Exhibition for image and sound technologies in Paris, France.
The GHX-10 was presented for the SatisFecit Award performing real-time conversions of 1920 RGB HD video to the 2048 X'Y'Z' Digital Cinema format. This demonstrates a real-world application for labs working from HD tapes to make a DCDM (Digital Cinema Distribution Master) from a DSM (Digital Source Master).
Now shipping, the GHX-10 is a unique, universal converter/frame sychroniser that allows any input format to be converted to any output format or scan rate via HDMI, DVI and triple-rate SDI (SD, HD and 3G) interfaces.
Patrick Zucchetta, Director at Doremi Technologies, said: "We have had tremendous interest in the GHX-10 ever since we debuted it at NAB earlier this year. We knew the industry needed an easy-to-use cross converter to go between the many high resolution formats in a high-quality cost-effective way and the GHX-10 delivers on that requirement."
Housed in a half-width, 1RU chassis, this compact converter also supports all popular formats, including 2K 4:4:4 with 12-bit per component I/O and 18-bit internal processing for high accuracy. In addition, the unit supports up to eight channels of embedded (HDMI or SDI) and discreet (AES/EBU) audio with adjustable delay to the video.
Also of interest and now shipping is the GHX-10 3D, a modified version that supports 3D playback on Samsung and Mitsubishi displays. Both of these brands use new 3D DLP TV technology that operates using active LCD glasses. Some of the many applications for this technology include medical imaging, gaming and live events.
Doremi Labs, based in Burbank CA, USA, is a leading developer and manufacturer of video servers for the professional video and audio markets.
