Tieline Technology Appoints New Dealer For The Republic Of Ireland

Codec manufacturer Tieline Technology has announced the appointment of Total Broadcast Consultants as its new dealer for the Republic of Ireland.
Tieline's International Marketing Manager Darren Levy said: "This exciting new deal with Total Broadcast Consultants will assist our continuing expansion into Europe. With Tieline's growth in sales in the Republic of Ireland it is important for broadcasters to be serviced by a local dealer who is familiar with their unique market needs."
Tieline is a leading manufacturer of broadcast quality audio codecs and is focused on helping broadcasters transition from circuit switched POTS, X.21 and ISDN technologies into packet-switched IP and 3GIP technologies.
PJ Fall, Tieline's Business Development Manager in Europe, said: "The team at Total Broadcast Consultants has decades of experience in all facets of radio engineering. They have designed and built fully digital radio facilities from the ground up and are well placed to advise customers about integrating codec technologies."
PJ said: "This will be especially useful as broadcasters in Ireland continue to migrate to 3G and IP networks. IP proliferation is still gathering momentum but European broadcasters appreciate the cost advantages of IP over ISDN and the flexibility that the technology provides."
He added: "Preco Broadcast Systems, who have been working with us for the last ten years, will continue to service our customers in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and France. They have a local presence in these markets and are partnering Tieline as the demand for flexible and reliable IP codecs grows exponentially."
Darren Levy said: "Tieline is committed to developing new IP and 3GIP applications that take advantage of new network infrastructures around the globe. Alliances with new partners such as Total Broadcast Consultants will assist broadcasters as they transition into new IP technologies."
Total Broadcast Consultants are based in Waterford, Ireland and have over 20 years of experience in radio engineering and broadcast, while Preco Broadcast Systems is one of the largest broadcast suppliers in the UK.
Tieline codecs featuring POTS, ISDN, X.21, GSM, IP, 3GIP and SIP interoperability can be ordered for demonstration at any Tieline international office in the US, Switzerland and Australia, or from any listed Tieline dealer at: www.tieline.com.
