FremantleMedia Enterprises On Course For A Dynamic Discop

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) arrived at this year's DISCOP in fine form with a flurry of irresistible titles representing all the major genres, including tender reality, hard-hitting factual and contemporary drama.
Leading the way is reality series 'Oprah's Big Give'. Renowned for her philanthropy, TV superstar Oprah Winfrey's new series defies television convention with one very bold idea - what if people could compete to give to others rather than simply to win something for themselves?
Hence, ten contestants are given the challenge of a lifetime - to change the lives of complete strangers. This intense competition involves contestants criss-crossing the USA, scrambling to find ways to impact the fate and fortunes of unsuspecting people who are in for the surprise of their lives.
'She's Got The Look' is another unusual take on a standard format. Supermodel Kim Alexis is at the helm of the search for the next new face in the fashion industry. But here's the difference. Only females over the age of 35 need apply. So Kim and a panel of tough-talking judges set off across America in the hope of finding the perfect mature model, who exudes both sophistication and star quality. Set to make its debut on TVLAND on June 4, 'She's Got The Look' is sure to cause a well-earned stir.
On a completely different note, DEA, is a gritty fly-on-the-wall show offering viewers a rarely seen behind-the-scenes look at the inner working of the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Created by The Travel Channel, the next two shows feature a couple of eminent professional tourists as they explore pastures new. 'Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations' finds the esteemed chef and food writer spanning the far reaches of the globe searching for delicacies.
Packing an open and inquisitive mind, a strong stomach and a healthy appetite for travel, fellow internationally renowned chef and food writer, Andrew Zimmern ('Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern') tastes his way around the world. As the title suggests, his fare is weird indeed, ranging from bear, tongue, pigeon, brain, turtle soup and even pig's toes.
Returning to familiar territory, following his previous judging role, cooking Guru Jamie Oliver serves up two new specials, 'Jamie's Fowl Dinners' and 'Eat To Save Your Life'. In the revealing 'Jamie's Fowl Dinners', the chef hosts a gala dinner to dramatically demonstrate the reality of how chickens live and die to put food on our plates.
In another hard-hitting one-off special, 'Eat To Save Your Life', Jamie investigates the hidden threats of popular convenience foods, using 18 volunteers with self-confessed bad diets as 'human guinea pigs'.
Following on from the success of the first series, the second run of 'The Best Years' finds Samantha Best returning for another term at Charles University in Boston.
Finally, Donald Trump returns with 'The Celebrity Apprentice', bringing together an all-star line-up of candidates primed to take advantage of their VIP status and business know-how in a series of challenges.
