September Films To Produce Documentary For Channel 4

Following the ratings success this year of 'Half-ton Mum' and DCD Media-owned September Films' 'I Am The Elephant Man', Channel 4 has commissioned the indie to produce 'The Baby With Two Faces' (1x60') for its BodyShock strand.
September Films has secured worldwide exclusive access following a bidding war for TV rights. The documentary will follow the family of Indian baby Lali, who was born seemingly in perfect health, but with two faces.
Hours after her birth in Saini Sunpura, 25 miles from New Delhi, baby Lali triggered a religious frenzy in the village with locals declaring her to be the incarnation of a Hindu Goddess.
The story follows the family from the very beginning, as doctors attempt to diagnose the cause of her condition and how to solve this extraordinary case.
Sheldon Lazarus, Creative Director of September Films, said: "'The Baby With Two Faces' deals with the very sensitive and poignant subject of a child who has survived against all odds, but who still needs urgent medical treatment.
"Having exec produced both 'Half-ton Mum' and 'I Am The Elephant Man', I feel able to tell the story without sensationalising the subject matter, ensuring the film remains balanced."
Sheldon Lazarus is executive producer for September Films. 'The Baby With Two Faces' was commissioned by Channel 4's Deputy Head of Documentaries and 'BodyShock' series editor Simon Dickson.
