Rushes Post New Moon Film For UN.GIFT
Rushes have completed post on a public service announcement film for UN.GIFT, the Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking.
The film, entitled 'Giving A Voice To The Victims Of Human Trafficking', is a simple yet poignant piece from Director Chris Petcher and Producer James Marsh, which highlights the plight of individuals worldwide who have become victims of the human trafficking crisis.
The film features actress Emma Thompson as she lip synchs to the recorded voices of real people, men, women and children, as they retell their experiences.
They have been promised a better life, are forced to work to pay off their family's debts, have been lured into prostitution, forced to fight for brutal regimes and have faced violence, humiliation and suffering. Yet the message is clear; "they want to go home, they want their freedom".
This short film, produced in 30 and 60-second versions, aims to promote awareness of the human trafficking trade and give it a "voice".
It will be screened across various Sky channels and CNN.
Rushes' Adrian Seery completed the grade with online completed by Dave Kiddie in 'Smoke'.
Further information about UN.GIFT can be found at: www.ungift.org, while the film can be viewed at: www.rushes.co.uk.
