Framestore CFC are 'Go!' for Thunderbirds

Framestore CFC are to supervise the visual effects for the live-action movie based on Gerry Anderson's 60's series 'Thunderbirds'.
The 'marionation' series has enjoyed a huge resurgence of popularity recently, following re-screenings on BBC2. The live-action version of Thunderbirds will feature a large complement of the original series' craft, as well as Tracy Island, the elaborately mechanised tropical island base of the International Rescue team.
Directing the project will be Jonathan Frakes, whose feature credits include 'Star Trek: Insurrection' and 'Star Trek: First Contact'.
The project will start shooting in early 2003, for release in 2004.
