Nitelites Upgrades Amplifiers

Nitelites, the Newcastle-based PA company specialising in sound, lighting and staging is replacing its entire hire stock of amplifiers with 44 Crown I-Tech 8000s as part of an overall upgrade of their inventory. Provided by Harman Pro UK, this large order further demonstrates Nitelites’ commitment to providing the highest quality systems for client events.
Director, Jamie Moore said: “Over the past two years we have been systematically refining our entire hire stock to ensure it is all of the highest calibre. When it came to amps, we wanted something of superior quality – Crown was exactly what we were looking for.
“As the most powerful of the I-Tech series, it made sense to go for 8000s to give us greatest flexibility; our systems are used in festivals, touring and also classical concerts. They sound great, they’re easy to program, very efficient with low power consumption and particularly important to us is their compatibility with the JBL VERTEC line array we have.”
Nitelites has been stocking JBL Professional’s VERTEC series for six years and was one of the first touring companies in the UK to invest in the range.
Based in the North East, Nitelites was founded 24 years ago by Jim Moore (and father of Jamie), and was born out of a touring system from the halcyon days of ‘rock n roll’. Drawing from his experience accumulated over the years from working with artists like Frank Zappa, Def Leppard and Van Halen, Moore, together with his son continues to ensure they provide today’s musical icons the best technical production available.
I-Tech amplifiers are high powered, durable amps weighing in at less than 13kg yet designed to withstand the abuse of the road. Featuring Crown’s Class-I output, power factor correction and advanced power supply, these allow I-Tech to provide the highest output voltage available for a clearly audible difference when driving loudspeakers.
Moore added: “We have always found Crown to be solid and reliable, so having such a well-respected brand in our range can only add credence to our own reputation.”
