Pharos Appoints Alan Hoggarth As Director Of Sales
Pharos - a company focused on developing software architecture to deliver better broadcast process management for service providers in television broadcast, radio, IPTV and telecommunications - has appointed a new Director of Sales, Alan Hoggarth.
Reporting to Commercial Director Roger Heath, Alan joins the company at a key stage in its development and will head-up international sales operations.
Alan commenced his broadcast industry career at Link Electronics Ltd and has since held senior roles at Grass Valley Group, Abekas Video Systems, Scitex Digital Video and Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe. He was responsible for establishing international
operations at Omneon Video networks where he held positions as VP Operations for EMEA and latterly VP Business Development for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India and Russia. He joins Pharos from FBBT where he spent the past year pioneering Matador.
"Alan is a welcome addition to the Pharos management team," commented Roger Heath. "He is highly experienced at establishing sales for new technology in the broadcast and entertainment industry."
"This is an exciting time to be joining Pharos given the increasing worldwide interest in creating, managing and distributing content from the desktop," Alan Hoggarth added.
"The proliferation of services on direct-to-home satellite, digital terrestrial television, mobile
broadcasting and IPTV, plus the shift towards file-based production, all present significant media management challenges for programme providers. Pharos has 10 years of unique experience in developing and supporting desktop control and workflow solutions and I am looking forward to leading the sales team."
For over 10 years Pharos has been continually developed its unique Mediator, Playtime and Pilot desktop broadcast management solutions to offer a next-generation platform to better manage the flow of media through broadcast facilities.
