Screen Yorkshire Launches Website

Regional screen agency Screen Yorkshire has launched a brand new website with a clear user friendly focus, featuring online video content, panoramic location shots, podcasts, rss feeds and all the latest news about the vibrant film, broadcast, interactive media and games industries in Yorkshire and Humber.
The website, developed by Leeds based digital agency Coolpink, was designed to enrich the user’s online experience, whilst offering a high level of functionality for individuals wishing to access the extensive range of support and services that the agency offers, from business support, production funding and talent development.
Visitors to the website can listen online to award winning producer and Screen Yorkshire chair Steve Abbott talk about his career and filming in Yorkshire. Born and raised in Bradford, Steve has spent most of his career working in film and TV with members of the Monty Python team and he was recently executive producer on Michael Palin's New Europe TV travel series. Past credits include 'A Fish Called Wanda', 'Fierce Creatures', 'Brassed off' and more recently, Michael Palin’s New Europe travel TV series.
Jonathan Kingsbury, Head of External Supply, BBC Future Media & Technology said:
"Screen Yorkshire continues to be fundamental to building a sustainable screen media industry in the region. The new website is highly impressive and an invaluable portal for individuals who work within the industry in Yorkshire, as well as businesses wanting to collaborate with the rich pool of talent in the region."
To celebrate the launch of the new website, Screen Yorkshire is offering visitors the chance to win a champagne package weekend in partnership with Residence 6*, which includes 2 nights accommodation at Leeds' only 5 star city centre property and a bottle of champagne from Harvey Nichols.
