Screen Yorkshire Launches Vital Statistics
Screen Yorkshire is launching Vital Statistics, a new initiative to support the development of the region’s film, television and new media industry.
A business development tool, Vital Statistics has been developed by Pembridge Partners LLP and has been piloted in different regions and creative sectors over the past year. Vital Statistics is intended to measure the health and fitness of businesses, benchmarking their commercial performance with similar companies across the UK.
It gives business managers a coherent picture of where their company is now and provides a discussion document to stimulate thinking about issues that are holding them back, or opportunities that can be sized to move forward. Screen Yorkshire said Vital Statistics will help build up a more detailed picture of the industry and help target business support more effectively.
Sally Joynson, Chief Executive at Screen Yorkshire said: "Yorkshire is home to some of the most talented individuals and companies in the sector. Our job is to build stronger and more successful businesses with clear commercial and creative goals. Vital statistics will help us do just that."
Vital Statistics is part of the agency’s ambitious 2010 future vision which is backed by Yorkshire Forward.
Jim Farmery, Head of Innovation at Yorkshire Forward commented: "Over the past three years Screen Yorkshire has helped over 350 businesses in the region through investing over £4 million and providing guidance and practical support. We are delighted to be supporting Vital Statistics as another progressive Screen Yorkshire initiative and urge Yorkshire businesses to seize this opportunity."
Vital Statistics is open to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which have been trading in Yorkshire over the past two years with a minimum turnover of over £100,000 per annum. To get involved simply register your company details online, visit: www.screenyorkshire.co.uk
