Radio hopefuls choose TV
Four companies bidding for the commercial radio licence for Maidstone, Kent, have used a TV studio to boost their claims.
In a unique event, the four groups were quizzed by the chairman of the south east of England’s premier TV production facility before an audience of community and business leaders.
Roland Kinch, the new chairman of the Maidstone Studios, asked the contenders about their business and programming plans.
Kinch said: "The company that runs Maidstone's new radio station will help to shape the area's future development, so the Maidstone Studios was delighted to have been the backdrop for this unique gathering of bidders for the licence."
