FremantleMedia Enterprises Presents 'Murder'

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced the launch of 'Murder', a brand new, entertainment series that will make its international debut in Cannes at MIPCOM this year.
The 10 x 1 hour series, produced by Bunim-Murray Productions for Spike TV, offers a clever twist on the usual case-solving format. The programme gives real people the chance to unravel a true homicide pulled directly from police files and provides viewers with the chance to play along and try to solve the mystery from their own armchairs.
Hosted by Tommy LeNoir, a senior homicide detective with more than 28 years’ experience, Murder immerses its participants and the audience at home into the reality of a real crime scene. Each week, viewers are invited to follow two teams as they try and solve a case step-by-step and build their own conclusions based on real evidence. On hearing both team’s verdicts, Tommy LeNoir finally reveals the real killer and the group that makes the correct or most compelling case has a donation made in their names to a selected victims’ charity.
FME’s CEO, David Ellender said: “Every now and again a show comes along which pushes the boundaries of current formats and offers viewers something really different and individual. We believe that Murder is one of these shows and are delighted to offer such an innovative show at MIPCOM this year.”
