TwoFours's 'Crip On A Trip' Wins RTS Eductational TV Award

Twofour's Crip on a Trip, a one-off documentary for Channel 4 which followed the exploits of 18-year old Dominic Hyams, who is wheelchair bound with brittle bone disease, inter railing around Europe with his mates, has won the Royal Television Society Educational Television 2007 Award for Best Programme in the 14-19 years age group.
The award was presented recently at a ceremony hosted by Jon Snow at the Savoy. The RTS Educational Television Awards recognise the best in audiovisual support for learning. Fame Asylum Twofour's controversial Channel 4 documentary about a group of young asylum seekers forming a band was also shortlisted for an award in the 11-16 years age group category.
Joe Houlihan, Twofour's Director of Programmes said: "Crip on a Trip was a beautifully made and very moving examination of how the most daunting of physical limitations can be overcome by sheer strength of personality.
"Winning the RTS highlights the amazing range of output we now have in Twofour Broadcast, from pop fact and factual entertainment to authored documentary like Crip on a Trip. I'm delighted for the team who worked so hard to make it such a strong film."
