MercuryMedia To Distribute 'The Putin System'

MercuryMedia announce they have acquired TV and DVD rights to the 90’ Current Affairs Documentary ‘The Putin System’ from Les Films Grain De Sable/France 2 for worldwide distribution excluding Europe and Australia.
The 95’ and 2 x 50’ film is the latest feature doc from renowned documentary makers Jean Michel Carré and Jill Emery, and describes in detail Putin’s rise to power and how he maintains control through the systematic deconstruction of democracy, free media and political opposition and the construction of nationalist youth movements, a consumerist economic system, an ever powerful FSB (the former KGB) watching over Russia’s citizens, and a renewing fear in the old enemy the United States, a wolf threatening the Russian Bear.
The Putin System is the follow up to widely successful film The Kursk: A Submarine In Troubled Waters which sold to 40 countries around the world and was also distributed by MercuryMedia.
