Pro-Bel Highlights US Market Commitment Interface For Pathfire

Highlighting its continued commitment to the US broadcast market, Pro-Bel has announced that it has developed an interface to the key US electronic content delivery system Pathfire.
This allows Pro-Bel's Morpheus automation products to effortlessly communicate with Pathfire’s Digital Media Gateway (DMG) platform.
Pathfire provides an electronic media delivery system popular across the US market, delivering both news and longer form syndicated programming, including complete advertising breaks. Pro-Bel’s Morpheus family of products can now interface to Pathfire’s DMG Automation Connect. This is a software solution that enables an automation system to manage and move content and metadata seamlessly throughout a facility from ingest to playout.
“Pathfire is very important in the US market and as a leading provider of automation and infrastructure technology it is vital that we interface to this key delivery system. We have adapted our Morpheus Gateway technology to provide the appropriate API. With our new Morpheus Foundation entry level automation system providing out-of-the box installation and commissioning it was vital that this integration was completed,” explained Howard Twine, Morpheus Product Manager.
Combining the high levels of functionality and reliability for which the company is rightly known, Morpheus Foundation is a targeted, technological response to market requirements with a price point to match.
Capitalizing on ongoing development work that has occurred with parent product Morpheus, Morpheus Foundation allows broadcasters to take an effortless first step onto the next generation automation ladder. Based completely on format and device-independent platforms, Morpheus Foundation provides a self-contained, fast and responsive environment to control from one to six delivery channels.
By capturing in detail a user’s requirements and planned environment at the time of purchase – and making full use of the company’s highly evolved approach to third party integration – the system is fully specified and configured at the factory. This means that it can be shipped, installed and commissioned as fast as possible.
“Our long-stated aim of interfacing to and integrating with third party suppliers in order to supply as complete solutions as possible has once again paid dividends here. While each and every installation is unique, there are some technologies that we come across time and again and the Pathfire DMG delivery system falls into this category,” concluded Twine.
