Eyeheight To Introduce Major Additions To Range At NAB2007

Eyeheight will be introducing major additions to its range of compact modular broadcast production and post-production equipment to the US and international markets at NAB2007.
The exhibit on stand SU2823 will include hands-on demonstrations of Ethernet-based module control and data uploading which provide the location-independent operating flexibility broadcasters increasingly demand.
Eyeheight's legalHHPi high definition legaliser provides easy control over the Y, U and V levels of incoming HD-SDI signals. It allows selective reduction of the saturation of pixels which would otherwise result in overmodulation of the composite waveform. The total composite waveform is maintained within the range defined by Composite High-Clip and Composite Low-Clip. Operating in composite, YUV and RGB colour spaces, legalHHPi incorporates two independent outputs for 'Legalise' and user controllable 'Legal/Indicate'.
Based on the highly successful Eyeheight playout, playout compact is a powerful SDI Master Control system in 1U with an increased feature set and the option of easy expansion. It is built around a flexible four-group A/B mixer with 16-channel audio. Playout compact uses the first in a new generation of Eyeheight intelligent dual-processor 1U chassis with Ethernet, RS-232/422, 14 GPI/tallies and optional hot swap dual redundant PSU. PresTX automation protocol is included.
The enigmaHDi allows RS-232 data to be transported via an HD-SDI link, providing a fully transparent serial link. Data is carried with complete integrity on three user-selectable lines of the HD signal stream. enigmaHDi is a highly versatile system with a wide range of applications including camera pan/tilt data forwarding to effects equipment, caption data forward and tape metadata delivery.
Shown in prototype at NAB2006 and now in production, Eyeheight's keyEyesMDi downstream linear keyer for 1080i and 720p, 625 and 525 operation. keyEyesMDi incorporates all the facilities needed for generating matte overlays. It enables overlays to be located anywhere on the video display, as a solid or transparent image. Fill and key inputs with adjustable horizontal timing are provided, as well as matte generators, wipe, independent main and preview keyers and EDH reinsertion for the main output.
Eyeheight's safeEyesMDi enables programme-makers, editors and telecine transfer facilities to ensure that the essential elements of their source material remain within the safe areas of a 16:9 television display. User-selected guide markers can be superimposed on a video display without being visible on the main programme feed. safeEyesMDi automatically senses and adapts to incoming 1080i and 720p HD as well as 625i PAL and 525i NTSC SD.
legalEyesMDi accepts 1080i and 720p HD as well as 625i PAL and 525i NTSC SD. It enables programme producers and editors to ensure that the level of their video signals remains within the strict tolerances required for HD and SD transmission to air and DVD mastering. Eyeheight www.eyeheight.com
