Pharos Communications has encapsulated the entire process of broadcast channel operation from ingest right through to transmission and archive.
Easy to understand and easy to use, Pharos Mediator is a powerful asset management system handling the whole picture. Key features of Mediator include:

Pharos will also exhibit Playtime, a flexible multi channel presentation playout system, fully integrated into Pharos Mediator. Playtime supports:

• Practically unlimited expansion, to thousands of channels
• Unique active package system enabling flexible scheduling and branding
• Distributed operation with duplex playback from independent device controllers
• Administrator-configurable enhanced rules-based playout. Using the incoming schedule to populate 'coming up' menus automatically, for example, can significantly reduce post production requirements.

New additions to the Pharos Pilot touchscreen-based reactive control will also be shown, enabling a broadcaster to migrate easily from SD to HD operation. The latest Pharos Pilot MCR device control system allows operators to deploy settings instantly for SD, HD or multidefinition broadcasting via a single touchscreen, including aspect-ratio switching, audio/video synchronisation and audio channel manipulation.
Presets can then be recalled on a per-card or per-device basis, or deployed system-wide from a single command.
