Pharos To Demonstrate New Mediator 4 Business Reports At IBC

Pharos will demonstrate new Mediator 4 Business Reports at this year's IBC exhibition in Amsterdam.
Pharos' new Mediator Business Reports Framework enables supervisors and senior management to improve short-term and long-range planning. Every action in Mediator is tracked in real time against business priorities such as the schedule or service level agreement. Mediator 4 Business Reports includes three key elements, Mediator 4 Dashboards, Mediator 4 Analysis and Mediator 4 Lists.
Mediator 4 Dashboards provide channel supervisors with live information to monitor the current state of the system and to optimise resource allocation. Dashboards update in real time and display exceptions that need to be dealt with urgently, such as low free space on a server or workflow states such as material not ready for transmission. Mediator workflow states such as QC-pass or TX-approved can be reported in accordance with service level agreements to improve business continuity. Mediator 4 Analysis displays give senior management and operations supervisors accurate information, including historical data, with which to evaluate operational performance. This information can be used for long-range planning to determine system load and user efficiency. The analysis can model the addition of a new channel based on increased efficiency within an existing infrastructure. Mediator 4 Lists provide operators working in operations such as library or ingest, with 'pick lists' or 'transfer request lists' to keep work moving at all times. Mediator Lists can also be provided to third-party channel management systems.
"All Mediator Business Reports can be viewed locally and remotely using standard Mediator web-based user interfaces," comments Russell Grute at Pharos. "Mediator Business Reports allow business monitoring and analysis to drive efficiency throughout the content management and publishing process. For the first time broadcasters, service providers and their customers can monitor how accurately they are keeping to applicable Service Level Agreements with real-time information and reporting directly from the content management system."
