BBC Appoint Executive Producer Current Affairs In Manchester

BBC Current Affairs has announce that Liz Molyneux has been appointed as the Executive Producer for network TV Current Affairs in Manchester.
She is currently Head of Development for BBC Knowledge in Manchester and has an excellent track record in delivering high-quality long and short-form TV across a wide range of factual, features and formatted programmes.
Molyneux's career includes producing complex undercover investigations and she has been highly successful in winning business for several production bases, most recently across all BBC channels, and with Discovery, for the Religion and Ethics department.
Karen O'Connor, Creative Director, Current Affairs, said: "I'm delighted Liz is joining us - her experience and creativity are going to be invaluable in bringing the exciting new output and strong journalism from Panorama to the One Show to even wider audiences."
Molyneux said: "I couldn't be more pleased - landing this job with such a great team and at such an exciting time for Current Affairs output. All this and it's a Manchester home fixture."
In her recent role as an Editorial Executive in BBC Knowledge, she worked closely with commissioners and channel controllers and also worked with Mark Harrison's production innovation group in Factual & Learning and on Glenwyn Benson's new multi-platform strategy for BBC Knowledge.
Her position at the head of a major Manchester production unit means she will continue to play a key part in cross-genre development across Manchester's production community as a whole.
Molyneux begins her new role in a few weeks' time.
