Andrew Hull Appointed Head Of Engineering For Ascent Media In Europe

Ascent Media Networks Services has announced that Andrew Hull has been appointed Head of Engineering and Broadcast Networks in Europe.
Hull brings core strengths in server based deployments as well as experience in resolving business critical issues in high pressured media and broadcast environments.
"The future of playout will see an ever faster acceleration of the adoption of file-based workflows and services,” said Paul Wilcock, Vice President of Engineering at Ascent Media in Europe. “To ensure we continue to offer our clients the quality of service they need we have to ensure that our infrastructure is at the cutting-edge. Hull has worked with server based equipment in the past and has made significant improvements to the infrastructure wherever he has applied his skills."
Hull’s industry experience spans more than 10 years working for leading media and broadcast businesses including Viasat, Technicolor, Corinthian Television Facilities, GMTV and ITV. His roles ranged from technical and system consultant and his responsibilities included managing the design, configuration and delivery of system and infrastructure changes.

In his new role, Hull reports to Paul Wilcock, VP Engineering of Ascent Media’s content distribution business in Europe, and is based at the team’s Central London offices in Stephen Street.
