Viper Pre-viz Offers 3D Animation Realisation Service

An innovative new pre-visualisation and pitching service is now available with the launch of Viper Pre-viz.
Targeted initially at advertising agencies, it allows clients to see their ideas rapidly realised as 3D animations, helping them to develop compelling pitches. Once the pitches have been commissioned, the animations can then be used to block out the production, improving the accuracy and efficiency of capturing the ideas on film.
Viper Pre-viz is headed up by Steve Breeze, who has over 15 years experience in running his own 3D post-production house in Soho and working for major clients in production and broadcasting. The company currently has five members of staff and has been selected by a major advertising agency in London to work on a number of campaigns over the coming months. The current company plan is for Viper to expand to New York shortly.
What makes Viper different from other pre-visualisation houses is the marriage of its people’s creative and production skills with the use of innovative tools such as Antics software. Animations are quickly developed showing the scenes and sequences that the agency requests and they can then be reviewed by the client and modified in real time.
Steve Breeze explained: "Our clients are really excited because they benefit from a clear visualisation of their ideas. Creatives can stand over our shoulder, ask for changes and see the improvements straight away. The animations capture the timing and moves of both the action and the cameras, so that everyone involved in the production can see exactly what is intended. Agencies have recognised the opportunity to enhance their creative process, strengthen their pitches and make production more efficient."
Alastair Woolley, Managing Director of Antics Technology Limited, commented: "It has not been possible to do 3D animations for pre-visualisation of commercials in many cases up to now because the tools were too expensive and too slow. But Antics software allows the animation of concepts as a standard procedure and gives Viper an additional competitive edge in the production of fully animated 3D pitches for adverts, videos and films."
