DCP-2000 To Be Installed At Odeon Leicester Square Theatre

Doremi's market-leading JPEG 2000 DCI server, the DCP-2000, is to be installed at the prestigious Odeon Leicester Square theatre in London – Europe's largest auditorium with almost 2,000 seats.
The venue is internationally famous for staging world premieres and all major film releases and has been a pioneer and leading adopter of digital technology since the onset of digital cinema. This installation, to be undertaken by Motion Picture Solutions, supports the JPEG 2000 DCI server specifications. There is also 3D replay support for NuVision 3D screenings; enabling 3D without an upgrade to a silver screen.
The installation marks the continuation of Doremi's activity with Odeon, the UK's and Europe's largest exhibitor. It follows the manufacturer's selection in the Odeon beta deployment of nine Doremi DCP-2000 servers at Odeon Surrey Quays in London, which officially commences this month with commercial digital showings of 'Dreamgirls'.

The Doremi Cinema DCP-2000 was the first commercially available server capable of playing DCI conforming JPEG 2000 digital movies at up to 250Mb/s.
Doremi continues to add advanced features such as 4K and 3D playback, CineLink II Strong Link Encryption, Thomson’s NexGuard and Philips’ CineFence Forensic Watermarking making the DCP-2000 the most secure server on the market.
