Barco Projects At Berlin International Film Festival

Barco has been chosen as the official supplier of digital cinema projectors at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival. For the third consecutive time, Barco is the sole supplier of digital cinema projectors at the Festival.
The 57th Berlin International Film Festival takes place from 8 until 18 February. During the ten-day festival, 373 films will be screened on locations throughout the city, attracting more than 400,000 visitors. Barco's 2K digital cinema projectors, based on Texas Instruments DLP Cinema Technology, will be used for digital screening in four theatres in and around Berlin: the Berlinale Palast, International, Urania and Admiralspalast.
A highlight of this year's festival is the world premiere of Fassbinder’s Berlin Alexanderplatz. This film, which marks the 25th anniversary of the death of Germany's most successful post-war director, has been painstakingly restored and digitally re-mastered and will be shown in the Admiralspalast, equipped with a Barco DP-100 projector specifically for this special occasion.

"The screenings of 'The Good German' by Steven Soderbergh and 'I am a Cyborg, but that's OK' by Park Chan-wook will have their international gala premiere in our Berlinale Palast on Feb. 9."
