Patrick Malone Appointed Director Of Digital Film Services
Ascent Media Creative Services have announced that Patrick Malone has been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Digital Film Services. This role gives Malone responsibility for all elements of digital feature film production across One Post, St Anne’s Post, Soho Images and Todd AO.
Malone joined what was to become Ascent Media, in July 1997 from Framestore CFC and then later moved on to join St Anne’s at its launch in 2002, rising to Head of Production.
Paul Jones, MD of Ascent Media Creative Services said: “We provide a unique end-to-end digital film workflow across our Companies offering the same Colourist across HD rushes, HD preview and 2K/4K DI. Then when you add sound editorial and mixing, CGI, title design, cutting rooms, subtitles and access services, DVD authoring, asset management, laboratory services and release printing which is all supervised by one project producer from Patrick’s team, it’s hard to beat.”
Commenting on his move Malone added: “In my new role I have the best of both worlds – an unbeatable range of services and a fantastic creative team to work with.”
Recent projects across the Digital Film Services Group include Black Book, Mr Bean 2, Hot Fuzz and Star Dust.
