Total Audio Clock Up Impressive Sales

Since being appointed as regional resellers for Roland Systems Group’s Digital Snake digital multicore system, UK broadcast, installation and pro-audio specialists Total Audio have clocked up a number of impressive sales.
Several BBC Radio broadcast regions, including BBC Birmingham, Manchester, Belfast and Bristol in addition to the main London Outside Broadcast centre in Kendal Avenue, have purchased 40 channel Digital Snake systems as stores-bookable items, so they can be used by BBC staff on outside broadcast work or indeed any task where multi-channel multicore is required. Four systems were initially added to the inventory at the London OB centre in Kendal Avenue and one in Birmingham, and these saw use on a number of events during the year, including Radio 1’s Summer coverage from the clubs of Ibiza, and the T In The Park festival. Recently, the Corporation returned to Total Audio to buy further 40 channel systems for BBC Bristol, BBC Manchester and BBC Birmingham.
Total Audio have also sold a 40-channel Digital Snake system to Dave Woodman, of Surrey independent live sound company DWA. “We handle the sound systems and installations for a lot of corporate events, awards ceremonies and presentations, like the recent Drapers Awards in November," said Woodman. “The Digital Snake is a very affordable, easy-to-manage multicore solution. I found Total Audio by complete coincidence while I was doing a Google search for more information about the Snake, and I’m glad I did – the level of their knowledge was impressive when I wanted to know more about the system, and their after-sales support has been first rate.”
“We’ve been delighted with the sales response to the Digital Snake since we were appointed as resellers — we have sold most of the systems in use in the UK as a result of our expertise in the field of digital multicore and associated multitrack recorders,” commented Total Audio’s Managing Director Peter Knowles. “The Roland system is the first cost-effective rival to copper. We look forward to still greater success with it during 2007.”
Roland’s Digital Snake was launched last year, and provides a modular, affordable, lightweight and remotely controllable digital alternative to analogue multicore for the broadcast, sound reinforcement, contractor and audio installation markets.
