Young Scottish Filmmakers Triumph At International Film Festival

A group of Brechin school pupils took third prize at the Olympia International Film Festival with their animation 'Monster Monster', a story of children who find an injured monster.
A group of 33 children wrote the story, animated and voiced the characters, created a soundtrack and edited the film.
The film was made as part of a pilot scheme run in Brechin by Angus Digital Media Centre with support from Scottish Screen. The scheme aims to teach school aged children about media literacy overall.
Andrew Gallacher of Angust Digital Media Centre said: “To get the opportunity to not only attend this festival but to win third prize is a fantastic achievement for the Moving Image Education Project.”
