Principal photography commences in Glasgow on 'Mandancin'

1A Productions and Festival Films have announced that principal photography is currently underway in Glasgow on director Norman Stone's first feature film, 'Mandancin'.
Following on from his success as Eastenders arch-villain, Trevor, Alex Ferns, heads up an experienced cast which includes Tom Georgeson ('Land Girls', 'Between the Lines'), Kenneth Cranham ('Two Men Went To War', 'Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit')
and James Cosmo ('Braveheart', 'Trainspotting').
Ferns said: "Mandancin' is a great script, which attracted me as soon as I read it. My character, Jimmy Kerrigan, is a reformed hard man who's trying to do something positive with his life, which makes a real change from playing Trevor!"
Mandancin' reunites award winner Stone, whose many credits include the original television version of 'Shadowlands', with producer Ray Marshall, who brought the work of best - selling author Catherine Cookson to television audiences worldwide. Stone and Marshall won an Emmy in 1991 for the film 'The Black Velvet Gown', starring Janet McTeer and Bob Peck, and last worked together on 'The Gambling Man' starring Robson Green.
