Chris Howe Appointed Director Of Emerging Technologies

Red Bee Media has announced the appointment of Chris Howe to the position of Director of Emerging Technologies.
In his new role, Howe will focus on the technical vision for Red Bee Media ensuring the strategic plans for the business remain relevant in light of potential new uses of technology; understanding emerging technologies and the likely industry and consumer reactions to potential new developments. He will also be responsible for identifying suitable technology partners to help the business establish, plan and manage partner relationships, while representing the business in the industry.
Howe has been Red Bee Media’s CTO since 2004, responsible for the day to day management of technology as well as the strategic technology direction of the business. Howe has over 20 years experience in both the delivery of strategy for technology development and the practical implementation of technology systems and is the main technical architect of Red Bee Media’s state-of-the-art Broadcast Centre.
Pam Masters, CEO Red Bee Media, said: “In the year since we launched the Red Bee Media brand, the business has been launching new services such as Digital Hive and Sherpa while planning for rapid growth, including international expansion and product development.
Chris has already built key relationships with technology partners like AMD, and Microsoft, and we want to continue to harness Chris’s unparalleled broadcast engineering experience and extensive industry network to carry on growing and developing cutting edge solutions for broadcasters, content owners and platform owners.”
