Media Mogul Warren Mason joins Trilogy

Warren Mason has joined the board of Trilogy, a leading independent logistics provider to the entertainment market.
Warren Mason, who left the industry in 2003 after having purchased and turned around the fortunes of Total Home Entertainment (THE) before selling to venture capital firm, 3i, is back in the industry and has taken a stake in Trilogy.
Trilogy was formed earlier this year following a buy out from its parent company Andromeda Entertainment Plc.
The appointment signals the company’s ambitions in becoming the logistics provider of choice, not only for the European video games market but also for other key business sectors including music, books and mobile entertainment.
Trilogy currently works within the video games, toy and DVD markets with companies including; Ubisoft, Capcom, Midway, Corinthian and Asiangold.
Matthew Allen, Managing Director of Trilogy Logistics Ltd, commented: “Warren has a proven track record within our industry and shares my vision for the future of Trilogy. His experience and contacts within the industry will help us achieve the next phase of our growth into new key entertainment channels. We have a great business, a strong management team and the foundations are in place to make this all happen.”
The entertainment market continues to expand and sales of DVD, Music Albums and Toys remain strong and present a very strong growth opportunity for Trilogy. There is high expectation for the entertainment sector as new technology enters the market and goes through its next evolution with the next generation of High Definition movies and video games being released later this year.
Mason commented: "I’ve been looking at a number of potential opportunities over the past 12 months and am pleased to have finally found Trilogy, a business that I am very excited about. Matthew and his team have a clear objectives and I am positive that I can help them achieve their strategic goals. I am truly energized by the thought of working within the Entertainment market once again, but more importantly working with the team at Trilogy."
