NBDtv bring new programming to MIPCOM

Following its recent relaunch, leading UK independent distributor NBDtv is set to arrive at MIPCOM with an array of new programming to complement its new look, new catalogue, new website, new sales structure and new staff appointments.
Available for pre-sale at MIPCOM is a brand new adaptation for television of the much-loved family classic 'The Wind In The Willows'. Based on the internationally popular novel by Kenneth Grahame and adapted by Lee Hall, the Oscar-nominated writer of the hit movie Billy Elliot, The Wind In The Willows is destined to be a major live action drama television event with a stellar cast of Oscar nominees and BAFTA winners including Bob Hoskins, Matt Lucas, Imelda Staunton, Mark Gatiss and Anna Maxwell Martin.
Also new from NBDtv at MIPCOM and created by award-winning UK indie Box TV for the UK�s ITV1 is 'Bon Voyage', a 2 x 70 minute thriller directed by well-known horror feature film director John Fawcett (The Dark, Ginger Snaps) who will make his UK television debut with the drama.
'Bon Voyage' is produced by Jake Lushington (the forthcoming Mysterious Creatures, Secret Smile, Men Only) and written by Oliver Brown (creator of the forthcoming Innocence Project for BBC1).
For MIPCOM Junior buyers, 'Underground Ernie' is a brand new cutting-edge CGI animation (26 x 12) based on London Underground train characters from Joella Productions. Designed to appeal to boys and girls aged 3-8 years, the stories centre on the adventures of Ernie, an underground supervisor dedicated to his work. Assisted by his colleagues, Millie and Mr Rails, Ernie ensures that his passengers get to their destinations safely and on time. The UK version features the vocal talents of Gary Lineker and music from the Wonder Stuff.
David Gilmour, the celebrated voice and guitar of super group Pink Floyd, will be featured at MIPCOM as NBDtv launches a brand new concert filmed in High Definition. David Gilmour On An Island Live (1 x 60� or 1 x 90�) sees the legendary Gilmour performing hits from his recent European Number One album On An Island as well as a selection of hits from Pink Floyd�s amazing 40 year career. Joined by Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright and featuring cameos from David Crosby and Graham Nash of the legendary Crosby, Stills & Nash David Gilmour On An Island Live was filmed as live by award-winning director David Mallet.
