Film London launch funding scheme to develop and support media professionals

Film London have announced the launch of two new rounds of funding schemes to develop the capital’s film, TV and animation professionals and support the training sector.
The Film London Film-makers’ Festival Fund supports the development of individual film-makers' and moving image artists' careers, by providing travel support for them to attend key festivals where their film has been selected for competition. Contributions are also available towards the costs of striking a first film print or production of digital masters where required, with up to £500 available per award.
Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London said: “Skills are vital to London’s film economy and are essential in retaining and expanding London’s position as an industry leader."
The Film London Events and Training Providers’ Fund is designed to increase the vocational skills of new entrants or professionals working in the industry through supporting the provision and development of high quality film, TV and animation training courses or events.
Funding of up to £5,000 is available towards direct project costs.
